DescriptionLong unfinished sampler worked on cream cotton; left half a series of horizontal bands showing great variety of drawn work stitches, darning stitches, and surface stitches in floral and geometric motifs; right side a series of horizontal bands worked largely with blue, pink, and red silks in variety of pulled work stitches and some cross stitch; on top edge fragments of needlepoint entre-deux; a number of small holes.
