DescriptionCircular medal with bust of Louis XV (1710-1774), king of France, commemorating the marriage of his grandson Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette (1770).

Obverse: Profile bust of Louis looking to proper left; inscribed at edge "LUD.XV.REX CHRISTIANISS." and under bust "B DUVIVIER F".

Reverse: Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette joining hands over an altar; two figures in background; double-headed eagle at proper right and shield of France at proper left; inscribed at edge "SACRUM AETERNAE CONCORDIAE PIGNUS", at proper left "DUV", and in exergue "M.ANTONIA AUSTR./LUD.DELPHINO NUPTA/ MDCCLXX".
