FRANCESCO ALBANI, geb. 17. März 1578 zu Bologna, gest. 4. Okt. 1660 daselbst. Schüler Dion. Calvaert's, dann der Akademie der Carracci in Bologna. Er war tätig in Rom, zumeist aber in Bologna. Kleine mythologische Bilder gelangen ihm besser als seine großen religiösen und historischen Darstellungen.
