Obverse: Profile bust of Louis XIV looking to proper left; inscribed at edge "LUDOVICUS XIIII·REX CHRISTIANISS." and under bust "I·MAVGER·F·".
Reverse: Standing king at proper left, with sword raised leading drills for his troops at proper right with banner above; inscribed on banner "DISCIP·MILIT·REST·" and in exergue "M·DC·LXV·".
