Bought at the Maine Estate Auction where Alexis Roy had lived in Fairfield, Maine. Maine was hit by the worst ice storm in a century and the auction went on with the help of flashlights considering bidders came from far and wide to see the vast and wholesome collection. This collection contained the "buy Lowell Goods hat" and the ATHM had an exhibition in 1999 called "Hats Off".
