DescriptionFive-columned kesa with decoration of dragons, phoenixes, and clouds. Columns, dividing bands, border, shiten, niten, braid: Red silk ground of five-harness twill weave with figured patterns of dragons, phoenixes, and clouds. The dragons and phoenixes are arranged in bands with interstitial cloud motifs. Lining: Silk six-harness warp-faced twill ground with a twill pattern of reversed swastikas and crane motifs in horizontal bands. The strap is attached to the kesa with a decorative white braided cord.
