DescriptionSilver by George Argell, handles of dark blue and white jasparware. Jasparware handles decorated with acanthus scrolls, flowers, and beading. Similar motifs engraved in silver on fork and knife blade. In velvet-lined leather case stamped: The Goldsmiths company & Emporium, London. Marks: on silver maker's mark GA (see Jackson P. 232), leopard's head, lion passant, date letter S for 1873-4, Queen's head (duty mark)
