DescriptionThree fragments from a hollow female figure, possibly a vessel, of light red clay with no remaining traces of surface treatment. Fragments of the head, upper torso/shoulder(?), and midsection of the figure. Showing a woman with long hair arranged in sausage curls over her shoulders and a wreath and/or basket on her head. Open at top and bottom. There are irregular broken edges.
ProvenanceFrom Tanis (San el-Hagar). 1884: excavated by William Flinders Petrie for the Egypt Exploration Fund; assigned to the Egypt Exploration Fund in the division of finds by the government of Egypt; October 28, 1885: presented to the MFA at EEF general meeting.
