DescriptionBobbin
Barbe (a) and cap crown (b)
"Vrai droschel" ground. Sprays of small-scale flowers and leavers, springing from edges of pieces, with central symmetrical spray in cap crown, largely worked in plain toile with some open work stitches to set off toile.
Believed to have been part of a costume worn by Lydia Hutchinson, born 1723, daughter of Edward Hutchinson, Treasurer of Harvard College.
