DescriptionShepherd boy teaching shepherdess to play flute. Figures seated on mound backed by flowering hawthorn. Boy in green hat, richly patterned coat and breeches, orange shoes; dog at his side. Girl in green bodice, flowered skirt and petticoat, green shoes; lamb in lap. Left hand thru handle of basket of flowers holds ribbon around neck of one of two lambs at her feet. Gilt rococo-scrolled base decorated with applied flowers and foliage.
