DescriptionPolychromed wood, carved and gilt. Amphitrite reclining on shell, fish in right hand. Neptune, left foot on face of dolphin, right hand on up-curved thin body. Flowering drapery.
ProvenanceFrom the collection of Countess Durckheim, Schloss Hagenburg [see note 1]. By 1957, Dr. Kurt Rossacher (b. 1918 - d. 1988), Salzburg, Austria; 1957, sold by Rossacher to the MFA for $1,800. (Accession Date: October 9, 1957)
