DescriptionThe knife has a tapering cylindrical handle with a bun-shaped terminus. It is engraved with scrolling foliage and acanthus leaf borders. The fork has four tines, a flattened stem, and a trefid terminus. The spoon has an oval bowl, a rat tail, and a flattened stem with a trefid terminus. The handles of the spoon and fork are engraved with scrolling foliage against a striated ground. The handle of the knife is formed of a seamed sheet, engraved, and gilt. The forged steel blade extends through the handle, and fits into a hole in the terminus of the silver. The spoon and fork are both forged from single pieces of silver, engraved and gilt.
