The stem is hexagonal in section and spool shaped in profile and has a central knop with a scroll pattern in low relief. The low bowl has gently sloping sides and hit-and-miss engraving around the rim. The inscription is engraved just below the rim. The bowl of the cup is raised and is screwed to the stem. The domed foot of the stem is raised and die-struck with a strengthening wire applied to the rim. Two molded and die-struck wires join the foot to the hexagonal stem, which is raised in two sections joined by a seamed, fabricated knop with molded wires above and below. At the top of the stem are two molded and die-struck wires. A plain disk is set into the opening at the top and fitted with a threaded collar for the screw mount.
