DescriptionOne of a pair of candelabra. The domed shaped circular base has a band of strapwork on a matted ground with four applied female masks and chased floral bandwork on the dome. A circular banded knop rises to a tapered octagonal stem with four masks on a matted ground. The stem gives way to a squared knop with a guilloche band with applied scrolled motifs. The nozzle has a banded base with floral bandwork and a gadrooned rim. The cast branches have a vase shaped center with cast herms in strapwork on a matted ground and a shaped finial. The two scrolling foliage arms have detachable shaped circular bobeches with beaded rims and detachable nozzles identical to those on the candlesticks.
