DescriptionMiniature mug with loop handle and silver mount. Salt-glazed stoneware, dipped darder brown glaze below silver mount on rim and handle. Applied relief figures in a whiter clay body of topers, windmill, tree, and hounds. Interior pitted from original firing. Marks: DOULTON/ LAMBETH/ ENGLAND, "478", and "1" all impressed; other indistiguishable marks. On silver mount: G or C/queens head?/ /FS lion passant/town mark- Chester (?)/A? (marks are indistinguishable).
