DescriptionLead-glazed earthenware. Hexagonal body with molded chinoiserie decoration on each panel, including scenes of a boy with a bird and a woman with a bowl of fruit and a child. Design source for the relief decoration is probably George Edwards and Matthew Darly, "A New Book of Chinese Designs" (1754). Floral-molded spout. Cabbage leaf handle. Lid and shoulder are scroll-molded. Finial is in the form of a flower. Green glaze with uncolored and manganese panels, manganese finial. Lid and rim are repaired.
