DescriptionWalnut with iron mounts backed with velvet, bone inlay. Rectangular cabinet with drop-lid resting on a stand composed of turned end supports joined by stretchers and arcading, and fitted with carved pulls which slide out to support the writing leaf. The front surface of the cabinet is decorated with diamond and shield-shaped openwork iron mounts backed with red velvet. Each side has an openwork iron mount with handles. The interior is composed of a complex arrangement of drawers and doors decorated with moldings and bone inlay and columns. A key accompanies the cabinet.
