DescriptionShallow dish with everted rim, the foot with spilled glaze over edge. Glaze colors are mottled blue, brown, green and white. The rim is decorated with cast and applied panels of alternating foliage and heraldic eagles. In the center, King Solomon wearing a crown is seated on a throne below billowing drapery with a low-relief arcade in the background. He receives the Queen of Sheba, accompanied by soldiers, and male and female attendants. A lion rests at the king's feet beside a kneeling woman holding an open vessel whose top rests on the ground before her.
