DescriptionOrmolu sunburst top with a putto seated on the edge of the chariot of Venus with a pair of doves. Circular white enamel dial with maker's name is possibly a later replacement. Panel of pierced work in the lower half enclosed by branches, with figure of cupid pulling drapery over reclining Venus. Scrolls and flowers at sides.
