DescriptionA pinkish red wool broadcloth dress and matching long jacket, made by the donor, (a) dress made essentially on "princesse" lines with flare and slight train at back, hooked down side back, very snugly fitted at waist with aplique panels on side of waist, fullness of bodice caught in soft unpressed pleats, short sleeves with long undersleeves, square cut neck with bobbin applique lace chemisette with high boned, standing collar; (b) a loose long hanging jacket with elbow length dolman sleeves, hooked at top center front, lower edges of front curved, jacket lined with white satin, interlined in upper part and sleeves and all edges finished with matching silk ball fring; entire outfit trimmed with silk braid, two toned pinkish-red arranged in stylized floral and palmette motives.
