DescriptionNavy blue scarf. There is a 2in. wide boarder, 1 1/2 in. from the edge of the scarf. The left vertical side and top side of the border (forming a 90 degree angle) both contain navy and white blocks. The remaining two sides of the boarder are navy blue with a silver chain design. From the top left corner within the boarder, there is a quarter of a circle that is white. From there, there are alternating navy and white arcs. On top of the arc pattern is an intricate design of gold chains and ropes with tassels that intertwine with one another; they appear to be attached the tops of several gold swords. The swords are each decorated with a different symbol such as wheat, a sun, and an anchor. Towards the bottom right corner there is what appears to be a purse that is attached to the chains above it. The purse is a light brown and is decorated with fringe and braided gold rings. Movement is suggested by the tassels. Like many of the Hermes scarf designs, there is a contrast between the flat and three dimensional forms illustrated.
