DescriptionEvening dress in two parts (bodice and skirt) of gold-colored ribbed silk with woven tassel pattern and applied glass abeads and spangles;
(a) bodice with wide flaring neck, surplice line in front, hooked down center back, slightly pointed in front at waistline, very short sleeves of yellow chiffon, yellow chiffon bertha or flounce embroidered with gold colored glass beads and gold metal sequins, entire front of bodice embroidered with gold colored sequins as background to set off tassel motifs;
(b) skirt has a few shallow pleats in front, much fullness at back gathered into waistband, much longer in back to form train, center front panel of skirt, borders flanking central panel embroidered with gold colored sequins as background to set off tassel motive; front panel of skirt finished at bottom with tabs over double flounce of white and yellow chiffon, scalloped fringe of gold colored glass beads above tabs on bottom of skirt panel
