DescriptionObverse: Head of young Herakles to right, wearing lion's skin.
Reverse: The Palladium, spear in right hand, shield in left from which hangs fillet; on head, kalathos; drapery over each arm.
Inscription in Greek.
ProvenanceAcquired in the division of coins following the excavations at Assos. Some coins in the group were said to have been "purchased from natives of the surrounding district."
