DescriptionFramed (wooden) collage titled, "Two Bowls" (part of the series "Tea Series") by Jorie Johnson. Towards the lower left corner is a square-like piece of cream colored washi printed with Japanese characters in black ink, Japanese Symbols in red ink, and a small piece of silver leaf. To the right of this square, is an irregularly rectangular shaped piece of pale pink washi. Above the bottom two pieces of washi, is a long, irregular, rectangular shaped piece of mud green colored washi. Above the mud green colored washi, in the upper left corner, is a white, square piece of washi, with what appears to be a large, Japanese character, or symbol, printed in black. To the right of the character are two out lines of semi-circles (black) filled with gold and silver leafing). In the Upper right corner of the piece is another white, square piece of washi. Here, the semi circle design is mirrored, but is silver and gold rather than black, and matches up with the other semi circles to form two oval shapes. Strands of black thread out line certain areas of the piece (the upper left corner, right side, and bottom side). The base piece of washi, which all of the collage pieces rest upon, is a cream color.
