Brass. Base is cast as a single piece, and the stem has been cast in two halves and soldered together. The stem is soldered to the base, in addition to a threaded post that is secured to the stem with a (replaced) nut.

DescriptionOne of a pair (with 2012.931.1) of brass table candlesticks with baluster stems, "inverted acorn" turnings at the mid-point, and stepped, octagonal bases.
InscriptionsA gummed label on the underside of one stick (.2) is inscribed “35 / 582” in ink.
