NOTES
[1] According to information in the 1998 Sotheby's catalogue, this nineteenth-century spice tower was "part of a collection first started by Rabbi Naftali Ben Aharon Yitzhak HaCohen, head of the Jewish court in Holland, continued by Mordechai Zoref (?), Jewish 18th Century silversmith (son of the above) and Avraham Ben Daniel and thence by descent to present owner."
