DescriptionTripod-shaped coffee pot and cover with high-fired blue, green, and red polychrome decoration on a white ground decorated with traditional vegetation and a phoenix, symbol of the Empress of China, and birds with large feathers. The handle, spout, cover, as well as the main body are decorated with floral lambrequins and large peonies, referred to as "Cashmere" decoration during the 19th century, although directly inspired from 'famille verte' porcelain of th Kangxi period, and imported to Holland by the VOC in the early 18th century.
