DescriptionOn irregular base with applied flowers. Bowing figure, right arm raised and crooked, left beneath long white cape at back. Red cap, white jacket with blue cuff, dark red breeches with blue garters, white stockings, red shoes with yellow heels. Black scabbard.

NOTES:
[1] In a letter to Kathryn Buhler (September 29, 1953), Sigmund Katz wrote, "Lewis will be shipping several pieces which he acquired for us shortly after he reached England in the sales rooms. These include the figure of Pantaloon of the raised anchor period (the mark has "flown").
