DescriptionThe cream jug is also formed like a small cylinder, with a plain foot, a triangular spout, and a handle with blossoms. The cream jug and the sugar bowl were almost certainly formed of seamed sheet, but the thick gilding on the interior obscures any signs of solder. The teapot, sugal bowl and cream jug are all etched, and engraved with motifs in the Japanese style, including jars, fans, and scrolls. The surface is gilt, with areas of the engraved decoration left white.
