DescriptionBombe boxes, rectangular (caddies) or square (sugar box) in section. Hinged covers modeled with shells, applied, cast finial in form of salamander. Cast and chased sides depicting elaborate, asymmetrical scaffolding and scrollwork peopled with figures in Chinese costume. Original shagreen box with silver handle and lock plate.
Marks Marks: on base, maker's mark PT below a cup, lion passant (both repeated on cover), date letter m, leopard's head crowned.
