DescriptionThe spoon has an oval bowl that is pierced overall with garlands and flowers in a geometric pattern. The slender stem tapers to a point. The spoon is forged from a single piece. The stem has been repaired at the midsection, raising the possibility that the spoon was converted from a plain teaspoon into a mote spoon.
Marks
On back of stem, lion passant; maker's mark HB (Grimwade 961).
