DescriptionWhite figure group of Hercules and Omphale. On irregular flat unglazed base with two large square holes for hollow group. Hercules seated on a rock with drapery held by shoulder strap. Omphale stands beside him with her right arm around his neck, supporting his club with her left hand. After an engraving by Laurent Cars after painting of 1724 by Francois Lemoyne in the Louvre.
