DescriptionOne of a pair (with 1983.106). Seat back in form of horizontal figure 8 surmounted by carved rocaille work over 'C' scroll. The whole above lyre-shaped splat and undecorated stiles. Seat is covered in modern red damask extending over seat rails and secured with brass tacks. Front cabriole legs end in claw and ball feet and have carved acanthus leaves covering both knee brackets ending in a carved scroll projecting from top of knee. Rear canted legs end in pad feet and have scroll on each knee bracket.
