NOTE: The cabinet was installed in Iturbi’s Los Angeles mansion, which he occupied from 1945 until his death in 1980. Most of the furnishings in the home were acquired between the 1930s and 1960s. The upper and lower parts of the cabinet were sold separately in 2008 and reunited in 2010, at which time the cabinet was first placed on loan to the MFA.
