DescriptionWager cup. The female figure stands on a shaped square plinth. Her right hand holds the edge of her upswept apron, and the left hand steadies a milk pail on her head. She wears a flowered dress with fitted bodice, an apron, and a small shawl. The figure is assembled from cast components and the skirt is chased. The figure's legs, with garters and stockings, are joined to the base and are exposed when the upper torso is lifted off. The base, formed from sections of sheet, is chased with ram's heads at the corners, joined by swags. The legs are cast.
Marks On underside of pedestal, date letter b; leopard's head crowned; lion passant; maker's mark FK(Grimwade 3571).
