DescriptionThe oblong octagonal two-handled tray has an applied border and handles of bamboo, prunus blossoms and leaves. It is engraved and chased with butterflies, peonies, and circular panels containing flowers on a diaper ground. The surface overall is etched and gilt, with areas of the bamboo and engraving left white.
