DescriptionGueridon. Early Victorian circular, electroplated silver, red marble-topped table, with pierced gallery, on a stand decorated with foliations, shell motifs and female masks, supported by out-scrolling members on trilateral supports flanking grotesque masks and escutcheons engraved with crests.
Marks Underneath one foot, a series of marks: maker's mark E&Co with a crown above; E & Co in three separate squares; E (Part of a mark or a date letter?).Underneath another foot, stamped number 8904s. Underneath the base, registry mark for 23 November 1862, Class I, Parcel 3.
InscriptionsARMORIALS: engraved on each plaque in between the three legs, an unidentified crest (?a hand holding a scroll of paper?).
