DescriptionThe oblong tray has a molded stepped rim with a gadrooned border and an applied mask on each of the fours sides. It is formed from heavy sheet and the border is cast, chased and applied. The surface of the tray is decorated with a broad border of engraved and chased stapwork and engraved floral patters. At the center of the tray, the royal coat of arms is engraved. The tray is supported by four scrolled feet in the form of dolphins, cast in halves. The gilding, which covers the underside of the tray and feet, has presumably been renewed.
