DescriptionPainted wood statue of a female offering bearer. The basket on top of her head is gone. The offering she carries in her hand is also gone. She is striding forward wearing a green dress and green bracelets. She is wearing a black wig. The eyes and eyebrows are painted in black. Much restoration has been done to the piece.
ProvenanceFrom Thebes, Deir el-Bahri, the Temple of Mentuhotep. 1905: Excavated by Edouard Naville for the Egypt Exploration Fund; assigned to the Egypt Exploration Fund by the government of Egypt; given to the MFA by the Egypt Exploration Fund.
