DescriptionThis is a motley collection of small fragments from several types of objects and tomb components from the same archaeological context (tomb 10, shaft A of Deir el-Bersha). They include fragments of linen, cartonnage, wood chips and shavings, rope, string, and both painted and unpainted plaster. Some of the smallest bits are still mixed with dirt.
ProvenanceFrom Deir el-Bersha, tomb 10, shaft A (tomb of Djehutynakht). May 1915: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Egypt. (Accession Date: June 8, 2009)
