DescriptionOne of a pair of large, shaped circular dishes. The rim has a reed and ribbon band with a wide band of chased elongated oval guilloche pattern surrounded by matting.
Marks
Maker's Mark: a crowned fleur-de-lis, two grains, JD, a shell (Dennis, 122). Warden's Mark: indistinct, probably 1772-1773: a crowned I (Dennis, 132). Discharge mark: for work intended for export, 1733(?)-1775: a little cow (Dennis, 125). Other: a small rectangle.
InscriptionsA large armorial is engraved in the center.
