DescriptionGlobular sponge-box with molded rims
Marks "Reconnaissance": St.OM under the Lorraine cross for Saint Omer, between 1750-1785.(twice inside the inferior part, twice inside the lid cover).
“Reconnaissance”: Lorraine cross under a crown for St Omer, small works, “menus ouvrages”, circa 1760.(on the rim, underbase).
Maker's mark: Crowned LG for Henri Louis Le Gaigneur, master in 1728, died in 1776.(on the rim, under base)
Maker's mark: small G crown, small maker's mark of Henri Louis Le Gaigneur, master in 1728, died in 1776.(on the rim, under base).
InscriptionsEngraved with accole coats-of-arms (wedding) of the Marquis Joseph de la Moussaye and his wife, Louise Francoise Josephe de Harchies (married in 1754).
