DescriptionA chamberstick on three scroll and shell-motif feet. The six-lobed drip pan chased with a border of entrelacs and shells. The handle ornamented with a cartouche, row of pearls, and bellflowers. The candle nozzle vase-shaped with torsed oves and leaves, an upper border of entrelacs.
Marks Maker's Mark: a crowned fleur-de-lys, 2 grains, JBO, a cross (Dennis 266): underside of drip pan.
Warden's Mark: a crowned K (Dennis 6): Underside of drip pan.
Charge Mark: 1727-1732: an A crowned on the side (Dennis 6): Underside of drip pan. Discharge Mark: for medium-sized work, 1727-1732: a crowned martlet (Dennis 6): On candle nozzle.
