DescriptionSoap box of compressed circular form on circular gadrooned foot. Applied molded rim with a button thumbpiece and a plain hinged cover. Base has an engraved coat of arms.
Marks
Maker's Mark: a crowned fleur-de-lis, two grains, EG, a guidon (His second mark) (Nocq, p.299). Warden's Mark: for 1724-1725: a crowned H (Dennis, 364). charge mark: 1722-1727: a crowned a with interlaced l's (Dennis, 306). Discharge Mark: foe medium-sized work 1722-1727: a caduceus (Dennis, 306). Other: guarantee mark used after 1838 for medium-sized work: a small boar's head (Tardy, p.173).
