DescriptionCastor with strapwork. The vase-shaped castor has a raised lower body with 15 ninepins ribs of cut card work applied on a matted ground, soldered to the upper body with an applied molding and a band of gadrooning. The upper body is divided in two parts. The juncture is masked by an applied ribbed molding . A lambrequin motif on a matted ground is engraved below the molding. The upper part has an applied molding notched twice below its lip. The cylindrical raised cover has an applied stepped molding at its base, with a band of gadroons , onto which are soldered two cast lugs. The sides of the cover are pierced in geometric patterns. The dome of the cover has an applied ribbed molding and a cast flower form finial in the middle of a radial reeding disc.
