DescriptionHand candlestick with circular, partially spirall yfluted pan with a reed and ribbon rim and a thin, flat circular base. Nozzle has a spirally fluted base with banding above and on the rim. The applied straight handle is molded at theterminal with a shell and foliage tip. An applied bracked is on the underside of the handle. There is a worn engraving on both sides of the handle.
Marks Maker's Mark: ML crowned, a grain between, two grains below the crown (Helft, 53-54). Maison Commune: 1758-1759: a dragon with 1758 below (Helft, 52). Charge Mark: 1756-1762: a crowned eagle head (?) (Helft, 51). Discharge Mark: 1756-1762: a trefoil (Helft, 52).
