DescriptionOne of a pair of square shaped dishes. Deep, with molded rims, and a partiallyerased Russian Imperial coat of arms in the center.
Marks Maker's Mark: a crowned fleur-de-lis, two grains, FTG (Incomplete) probably the small mark of Francois Thomas Germain (Dennis, 156). Warden's Mark: 1757-1758: a crowned R (Dennis, 155). Charge Mark: for large work, 1756-1762: a crowned A (Dennis, 155). Other: a small oval with letters in it; a small rectangle; St. Petersburg mark: "Beschauzeichen etwa" 176? (Probably either 1, 3, or 7) (Rosenberg, 8142); two Cyrillic characters, a grain between in a rectangle; a 9 in a rectangle; an 0 in a rectangle, both possibly Russian standard marks (Tardy, p. 265).
