DescriptionPlate 27 from Volume 3, "Jerusalem and Palestine", (Voyage en Orient). Recent research has determined that the tombs are of Bene Hezit (left) and Zechariah. Both are Jewish display tombs from the late second or early first century BC and were carved from solid rock.
