DescriptionA rectangular Bombe-form casket supported on four curved legs with acanthus scrolls. The body engraved with water leaves and chased swags of berried laurelhung from ribboned nails. The hinged lid is engraved with sunflower rosettes and a laurel border enclosing a coat of arms.

Maker's Mark: a crowned fleur-de-lys, 2 grains, JBS (Dennis 308): Inside of lid, underside of body. Warden's Mark: 1782-83, a crowned T (Dennis 19): Inside of lid, underside of body. Charge Mark: for large work, 1781-83, a crowned A (dennis 19): Inside of lid, underside of body. Discharge Mark: for work intended for export, 1781-1792, a ewer (Dennis 19): Flange of lid, rim.
