Maker's mark: IMLIN in a rectangle (Helft, 1196) Maison Commune: Strasbourg 1775: a crowned, foliate L (Helft, 1105) Other: Countermark used after 1838: parts of insects (Rosenberg, 5929); "Reconnaisance de Strasbourg (11 deniers, 12 grains, titre de Paris)" for large works (Helft, 1103); a small swan in an oval, applied after 1893: "Ce poincon s'applique aussi sur les ouvrages aux titrelegaux provenant des ventes publiques et dont on ne peut pas determiner la provenance. Les droits de garantee ne sont pas restitues en cas de reexportation des ouvrages marques de ce poincon. " (Tardy, p. 179).
